• Regulations and agreements have to be developed to ensure that forensic activities will not breach any laws or regulations under any jurisdiction where the data are stored, and the confidentiality of other tenants sharing the same infrastructure will not be compromised during the investigation.

Service Level Agreement

• Service Level Agreement (SLA) defines the conditions of use between a pair of CSP and cloud customer.
• The following terms regarding forensic investigations should be included into the SLA :
  • Support given by the CSP to the customer regarding forensic investigation.
  • Trust boundaries, roles and responsibilities between the CSP and the cloud customer regarding forensic investigation.
  • How forensic investigations are secured in a multi-jurisdictional environment in terms of legal regulations, confidentiality of customer data, and privacy policies.
  • How forensic investigations are secured in a multi-tenant environment in terms of legal regulations, confidentiality of customer data and privacy policies.
